Pharmacist Assistant
About the Role
Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with product enquiries
• Serve customers and process transactions accurately using POS systems
• Assist with unpacking, receiving, and invoicing stock
• Maintain accurate inventory and stock management systems
• Monitor stock levels and purchase inventory within agreed budgets and timeframes
• Manage returns, credits, out-of-date, damaged, and unsaleable goods
• Conduct stocktakes and analyse reports to manage slow-moving or dead stock
• Implement catalogues, promotions, merchandising, and planograms
• Maintain storeroom organisation in line with OHS protocols
• Enter data and manage computer-based pharmacy systems
• Book appointments with sales representatives
• Support day-to-day pharmacy operations and general store duties
• Participate in mandatory product and ongoing training programs
Qualification
• Bachelor of Pharmacy
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
• S2/S3 training (preferred but not essential)
Experience
• Prior retail pharmacy experience (preferred)
• Experience in stock management and inventory control
• Experience using POS software and generating reports
• Experience with merchandising and implementing planograms
Skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• High competency in computer applications
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Honest, reliable, and enthusiastic team player
