Roles & Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to identify physical and developmental challenges
• Develop individualized physiotherapy treatment plans targeting motor skills, coordination, and sensory integration
• Implement evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to improve functional abilities and independence
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, behavior analysts, and other multidisciplinary team members
• Guide and educate parents/caregivers on home exercises and strategies to support child development
• Contribute to the design and enhancement of specialized physiotherapy programs for children with autism
• Provide supervision and mentorship to junior physiotherapists and support staff
• Conduct training sessions for staff to improve understanding of autism and therapeutic techniques
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the autism care center, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of services
• Implement quality assurance measures to maintain high standards of care and monitor intervention effectiveness
• Foster relationships with parents, schools, and community organizations; participate in outreach initiatives
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, progress reports, and generate necessary reports for stakeholders
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) – preferred
• Specialization or certification in Pediatric Physiotherapy – preferred
• Relevant certifications in autism care – preferred
• State licensure or certification to practice physiotherapy in India
Experience
• 1 year of physiotherapy or clinical experience – preferred
• Experience working with children with autism – preferred
• Freshers with appropriate qualifications may apply
