Paediatric Occupational Therapist
About the Role
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Provide clinic-based and community-based paediatric occupational therapy (homes and preschools).
• Conduct Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA).
• Complete wheelchair and assistive equipment assessments.
• Develop and implement individualised therapy programs.
• Facilitate after-school therapy groups.
• Deliver afterschool and Saturday morning appointments as part of the roster.
• Complete report writing during allocated daytime hours.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to support child development goals.
Qualification:
• Qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Current AHPRA Registration.
Experience:
• Experience in paediatric occupational therapy preferred.
• Experience conducting assessments (FCA, equipment) highly regarded.
• Open to clinicians seeking structured supervision and professional growth.
Skills:
• Strong paediatric assessment and intervention skills.
• Ability to manage mixed clinic and community caseloads.
• Effective report writing and documentation skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within a supportive team environment.
