Packing - Blister (Primary & Secondary)
About the Role
Roles & Responsibilities
• Execute primary and secondary packing activities as per approved BPR
• Handle blister packing, auto cartoner, serialization, and pouch packing operations
• Perform line clearance before start-up and after batch completion
• Execute product and batch changeovers as per SOP
• Ensure proper dispensing and reconciliation of packing materials
• Maintain packing batch records and online documentation entries
• Operate and monitor blister machines and related packing equipment
• Ensure correct coding, labeling, and serialization compliance
• Monitor in-process checks and coordinate with IPQA
• Ensure preventive maintenance and calibration coordination with Engineering
• Support equipment and area qualification activities
• Participate in process validation and packing validation activities
• Handle deviations, change controls, and CAPA implementation
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, WHO-GMP, EU-GMP, and USFDA guidelines
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in packing area
• Monitor yield and minimize packing material wastage
• Ensure proper status labeling and segregation of materials
• Follow safety, EHS, and data integrity practices
• Support audit preparation and regulatory inspections
Qualification
• B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) / M.Pharm (Master of Pharmacy)
Experience
• 3 to 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical packing operations
• Hands-on experience in blister packing and secondary packing lines
• Exposure to regulated plant (USFDA / EU-GMP / WHO) preferred
Skills
• Strong knowledge of primary and secondary packing processes
• Understanding of serialization and coding systems
• Good knowledge of cGMP and regulatory compliance
• Documentation and BPR handling expertise
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good coordination and communication skills
• Ability to manage batch changeovers efficiently
• Attention to detail and quality-focused approach
