Oral Surgical Assistant / Administration Assistant
About the Role
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Assist in oral surgical procedures under local and general anaesthetic.
• Prepare, clean, and sterilise instruments and treatment rooms to strict infection control standards.
• Support patient preparation and provide post-operative care.
• Manage patient appointments, scheduling, and front-desk administration.
• Handle patient records, correspondence, and liaise with referring practitioners and hospitals.
• Work across practice and hospital locations, including external consulting and theatre lists.
Qualification:
• Certificate III in Dental Assisting (essential).
• Previous dental or surgical assisting experience preferred; oral surgery experience highly regarded but not essential.
Experience:
• Demonstrated experience in dental assisting or surgical assisting is preferred.
Skills:
• Strong organisational, multitasking, and communication skills.
• Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Flexibility to work across multiple locations with own vehicle.
