About the Role
Role & Responsibilities
• Assist ophthalmologists during eye examinations and surgical procedures
• Prepare patients for ophthalmic treatments and OT procedures
• Administer prescribed eye medications and injections as per clinical protocols
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Support ophthalmic OT workflows and clinical operations
• Ensure sterilization, preparation, and maintenance of ophthalmic instruments and OT setup
• Follow hospital safety standards, infection control guidelines, and clinical protocols
• Assist in patient counselling and deliver patient-centered care
Qualification
• ANM or GNM Nursing qualification
• Valid nursing registration or license
• Interest in ophthalmic or eye care nursing
Experience
• 0–3 years of experience
• Experience in an ophthalmic hospital preferred
• Freshers with interest in eye care are welcome to apply
Skills
• Ophthalmic nursing and patient care skills
• OT assistance and clinical support skills
• Medication administration and patient monitoring
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
• Communication and patient counselling skills
