Occupational Therapy Assistant

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Instruct or assist patients and families in developing home programs, basic living skills, and using adaptive equipment.
• Collaborate with occupational therapists to implement individualized treatment plans promoting client autonomy.
• Monitor and encourage patients’ progress during therapy activities, offering constructive feedback and motivation.
• Maintain a positive and supportive attitude toward clients and their treatment goals.
• Document and communicate patient progress, behaviors, and attitudes to supervisors both verbally and in writing.
• Contribute insights to AI healthcare tools, ensuring accurate reflection of occupational therapy support.
• Promote high standards of care and professional integrity within the team environment.

Qualification:
• BOT , Proficiency with BrainTrain IVA+Plus, BrainTrain Captain’s Log, Language Arts and Math Educational Software.
• Hands-on experience with database tools (Dbase, Filemaker Pro, Microsoft Access) and email software (Microsoft Outlook).
• Familiarity with eClinicalWorks EHR Software, Laboratory Information Systems, and Visual Health Information (VHI) PC-Kits.
• Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills for educational and progress reporting.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with compassionate interaction.

Experience:
• 3–5 years in occupational therapy support, remote care, or related rehabilitation settings preferred.
• Experience assisting with AI integration or training in healthcare is a plus.

Skills:
• Detail-oriented, accurate documentation, and strong teamwork.
• Adaptability in remote and collaborative environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse patient populations.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Prior experience in virtual care or AI-assisted rehabilitation programs.
