Occupational Therapist
About the Role
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Develop and oversee reablement programs for clients in community aged care
· Conduct assessments and implement appropriate treatment plans
· Support clients to achieve individual goals and re-engage within the community
· Provide education, support and coaching to care staff, clients and carers
· Liaise with clients, families and multidisciplinary team members
· Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with service standards
· Work autonomously while contributing to team and organisational objectives
Qualification:
· Relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy (Allied Health)
· Registration with AHPRA
· Current Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)
Experience:
· Previous experience in community or residential aged care
· Demonstrated experience in assessment and treatment planning
· Experience working within a multidisciplinary environment
Skills:
· Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
· Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to educate and support clients and care teams
· Effective time management and organisational skills
· Problem-solving, negotiation and influencing abilities
· Computer literacy including documentation and scheduling systems
· Empathetic and flexible approach to client-centred care
