About the Role

Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide advanced oncology care in collaboration with a supervising physician under established care arrangements
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments and differentiate normal and abnormal findings
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage oncology patients using evidence-based practice
• Assess and manage pain, chemotherapy and radiation therapy side effects, and symptom control
• Develop and continuously reassess multidisciplinary plans of care
• Order diagnostic tests, laboratory investigations, consultations, and imaging as per protocols
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice and institutional policies
• Obtain informed consent for treatments and procedures
• Provide patient and family education regarding disease process, treatment plans, and follow-up care
• Coordinate elective and emergency admissions with collaborating institutions
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, Medical Staff Bylaws, and Institute policies
• Monitor prescribing practices in collaboration with supervising physician and submit required reports
• Participate in QA/QI initiatives and support research activities
• Foster collaborative relationships within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and ethical standards
• Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations

Qualification
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in applicable state
• National certification as Nurse Practitioner from an accredited organization
• Current certificate of authority from applicable Board of Nursing
• Certificate to prescribe preferred
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required
• ACLS or PALS may be required based on work setting

Experience
• 2 – 7 years of experience
• Minimum 2 years of clinical Nurse Practitioner experience
• Oncology Nurse Practitioner experience preferred
