Medical Writer I (Quality Check)

Roles & Responsibilities
• Perform detailed data and content quality check (QC) reviews of extracts, manuscripts, posters, figures, and tables
• Conduct data integrity reviews ensuring consistency across text, tables, references, and graphics
• Verify scientific content alignment with FDA, EU, and ICH regulatory guidelines
• Cross-check scientific claims against referenced literature for accuracy, neutrality, and compliance
• Ensure proper application of AMA style guidelines and journal/congress formatting standards
• Maintain one-to-one alignment between in-text citations and reference lists
• Copyedit documents for grammar, punctuation, clarity, and formatting compliance
• Review deliverables for adherence to SOPs, ISO standards, and client-specific requirements
• Monitor project timelines and escalate risks or discrepancies to the Lead Medical Writer or Project Manager
• Participate in internal team meetings and client discussions to resolve QC comments
• Support continuous quality improvement initiatives within the medical writing team

Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Clinical Sciences, English, Journalism, or related field
OR
• Relevant experience in scientific copyediting and data review

Experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical Writing
• Experience in scientific QC, data validation, and document review
• Exposure to regulatory writing standards and global submission requirements

Skills
• Strong knowledge of FDA, EU regulations, ICH guidelines, and ISO standards
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Strong grammar, language, and copyediting expertise (AMA style preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently with structured documentation practices
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• High level of accuracy, accountability, and compliance awareness
