Medical Transcriber

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Review and edit transcribed reports or dictated material for spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, and correct medical terminology.
• Transcribe physician dictation for various types of medical reports accurately and within timelines.
• Translate medical jargon and abbreviations into their expanded forms to ensure accuracy of patient and healthcare facility records.
• Ensure confidentiality and integrity of medical information at all times.
• Operate word processing, dictation, and transcription equipment and troubleshoot basic issues as required.
• Maintain quality standards and productivity benchmarks as per organizational guidelines.

Qualification:
• B.Sc (Nursing) / Bpharm / Mpharm

Experience:
• 6 months to 2 years of experience in Medical Transcription

Skills:
• Proficiency in personal computers and word processing software
• Normal hearing acuity and excellent listening skills
• Strong command of English grammar and language
• Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
