Medical Science Liaison - Oncology
About the Role
Role & Responsibilities
• Establish and strengthen the company’s medical affairs presence through scientific exchange in oncology
• Communicate fair and balanced therapeutic area, product-related, and clinical information to external stakeholders
• Execute the scientific engagement plan aligned with the Therapy Medical Plan
• Develop and maintain long-term peer-to-peer relationships with opinion leaders and key stakeholders
• Respond to unsolicited medical information requests, including off-label queries, as per SOPs
• Deliver clinical and scientific presentations to healthcare professionals and institutions
• Disseminate insights from scientific meetings to internal cross-functional teams
• Support company-sponsored clinical studies and provide country-level input on research site feasibility
• Support investigator-initiated trial proposals in accordance with company procedures
• Contribute to disease registries and real-world evidence projects
• Capture and share field insights to support medical strategy and field medical plans
• Provide medical expertise to commercial teams within regulatory guidelines
• Act as a scientific reference for internal stakeholders including sales and market access teams
• Support development and review of medical and scientific materials
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, clinical research, and market access teams
• Support regional market access initiatives including hospital listings
• Ensure compliance with pharmacovigilance, regulatory standards, and company policies
• Support patient awareness initiatives and patient support programs
• Complete administrative activities, reporting, and expense submissions within timelines
Qualification
• MD Pharmacology with minimum 6 months of experience in solid tumors
• MDS or PhD with minimum 1 year of oncology experience as MSL or RMA
• MBBS or MD mandatory
Experience
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in oncology
• Prior experience as Medical Science Liaison or Regional Medical Advisor preferred
Skills
• Strong scientific and medical knowledge in oncology
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Ability to engage and build relationships with key opinion leaders
• Strong analytical thinking and business acumen
• Experience managing cross-functional collaborations
• High level of integrity, compliance awareness, and patient safety focus
• Negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in English
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
