About the Role

Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide frontline clinical care in the Emergency Department managing diverse medical, surgical, trauma, and O&G presentations
• Assess, diagnose, and initiate treatment for acute and complex emergency cases
• Perform core ED procedures including suturing, catheterisation, IV cannulation, and plaster application
• Work collaboratively with consultants, registrars, nurses, allied health, and clerical teams
• Participate in simulation training, education programs, and case-based learning activities
• Contribute to quality improvement, audits, and research projects within the department
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies and safety standards

Qualification
• Medical degree with eligibility for registration as a Medical Practitioner in Australia
• Suitable for Junior Medical Staff (HMO level)
• Eligibility to work in Australia

Experience
• Relevant clinical experience as a Junior Medical Officer or equivalent
• Experience in acute care, emergency medicine, or hospital-based clinical settings (desirable)
• Interest in Emergency Medicine and ACEM training pathways (preferred)
• Ability to manage varied and high-acuity patient presentations
