Manager, Scientific Writing
About the Role
Roles & Responsibilities
• Develop, review, and update scientifically accurate and compliant promotional content such as iCVAs, brochures, emails, digital campaigns, social media posts, banners, and print assets
• Ensure all content aligns with approved brand strategy, product positioning, and messaging
• Update existing and new assets to reflect latest Important Safety Information (ISI), Prescribing Information (PI), and reference documents
• Ensure compliance with MLR (Medical-Legal-Regulatory) guidelines and specifications
• Partner with cross-functional teams including creative, editorial, regulatory, and digital teams to plan and execute content strategies
• Support omnichannel content planning and repurpose scientific content across multiple platforms and audiences
• Contribute to development and execution of modular content models
• Monitor label updates and ensure timely, consistent revisions across all promotional materials
• Develop and maintain label update checklists to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Manage, mentor, and train junior writers on commercial writing, compliance, and label integration
• Collaborate with global stakeholders across India, US, Ireland, and Mexico
• Operate in a metric-driven environment while maintaining highest quality standards
Qualification
• Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related discipline
Experience
• 7+ years of experience in scientific writing
• Strong experience in promotional material development, content planning, and label updates
• Exposure to global content localization and adaptation preferred
Skills
• Strong understanding of promotional scientific communications and clinical data interpretation
• In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and promotional review systems
• Familiarity with omnichannel marketing and modular content approaches
• Strategic mindset with ability to contribute to campaign and content planning
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage timelines in a matrix environment
• Ability to collaborate effectively with global and cross-functional teams
