Manager, Drug Safety Physician, Pharmacovigilance

Role & Responsibilities
• Conduct medical review and assessment of ICSRs in the safety database
• Verify adverse event selection from source documents including seriousness criteria, MedDRA coding, suspect drugs, concomitant medications, lab data, medical history, labelling, causality, and narratives
• Provide Company Clinical Comments and respond to case-related queries from case owners
• Perform scientific literature screening using internal and external tools
• Maintain strong knowledge of GVP, GCP, ICH, and EMA guidelines and ensure proper implementation
• Train and mentor pharmacovigilance associates on event capture and PV conventions
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product safety profiles across therapeutic areas
• Escalate complex safety case issues to Team Lead or Line Manager
• Perform medical triage and classification of safety-relevant literature references
• Provide scientific input for literature surveillance services
• Support preparation and review of periodic safety reports including PSURs, PBRERs, and RMPs
• Collaborate with Global Pharmacovigilance teams on signal detection activities
• Participate in internal project meetings, audits, and regulatory inspections
• Perform additional drug safety activities as assigned

Qualification
• Degree in Medicine
• Postgraduate medical degree is an advantage but not mandatory

Experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety
• Experience in medical review, literature surveillance, and safety reporting preferred

Skills
• Strong knowledge of pharmacovigilance regulations and guidelines
• Medical review and clinical assessment expertise
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure with a high sense of responsibility
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills
• Service-oriented mindset with exposure to pharma or life sciences environments
