About the Role
Role & Responsibilities
• Review inpatient medical records for accurate IPDRG assignment
• Apply ICD-10 coding guidelines in compliance with regulatory standards
• Analyze clinical documentation to ensure coding accuracy and completeness
• Identify and correct coding errors impacting reimbursement and compliance
• Support hospital revenue cycle management through accurate data abstraction
• Maintain quality and productivity standards in inpatient medical coding
• Assist during internal audits, reviews, and quality checks
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve coding accuracy and outcomes
Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medical Records, or healthcare-related discipline
Experience
• Freshers / Entry-level candidates
• Willingness to undergo structured training in IPDRG and medical coding
Skills
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Ability to learn and apply ICD-10 coding and DRG concepts
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Basic knowledge of healthcare operations or RCM is an advantage
