Head Nurse - Pediatrics

Role & Responsibilities
• Provide overall supervision and leadership for nurses in the Pediatric Ward
• Organize, coordinate, and manage nursing operations within the unit
• Deliver high-quality professional nursing care using the Nursing Process
• Ensure adherence to best practices in pediatric healthcare and safety standards
• Manage nursing staff proficiency in pediatric-specific medical equipment and medication administration
• Oversee patient care planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring quality and safety
• Address clinical and administrative challenges, making informed decisions based on expertise
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, infection control, and guidelines
• Monitor patient satisfaction metrics and implement measures to enhance service quality
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
• Conduct patient rounds and supervise nursing team activities
• Supervise, guide, and support nursing staff, ensuring training, mentoring, and professional development
• Manage staff scheduling and ensure adequate team coverage
• Act as a liaison between the nursing team and management, conducting regular meetings
• Provide thorough orientation and training for new nursing staff

Qualification
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Master of Science in Nursing

Experience
• 5 - 10 years of experience in pediatric nursing, with experience in IP (Inpatient) Pediatrics
• Prior leadership experience in a pediatric ward or clinical setting

Skills
• Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills
• In-depth knowledge of pediatric nursing care standards and best practices
• Ability to ensure compliance with clinical and operational protocols
• Excellent communication skills for patient care coordination and team collaboration
• Strong mentoring and training abilities to develop nursing staff
