Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Provide inpatient Physiotherapy and Allied Health support within scope of practice as directed by Allied Health Clinicians
• Deliver interventions to patients within the General Medical inpatient team
• Assist in leadership and coordination of other Allied Health Assistants and student placements
• Support management and prioritisation of weekday and weekend Allied Health Assistant caseloads
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary staff
• Continue to broaden skills and knowledge as an Allied Health Assistant

Qualifications:
• Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent
• Basic swimming capability

Experience:
• Minimum three years’ experience (full-time equivalent) as a Grade 2 Allied Health Assistant or equivalent

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Sound administrative and organisational abilities
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment
• Commitment to patient-centred care
• Ability to follow instructions and clinical guidance from Physiotherapists and Allied Health clinicians
