About the Role
Roles & Responsibilities
• Manage acute, walk-in urgent care presentations in a high-volume clinic setting
• Diagnose and treat minor injuries and time-sensitive medical conditions
• Perform urgent care procedures within defined clinical scope
• Make independent clinical decisions within an established urgent care framework
• Deliver efficient, patient-centred care with consistent patient flow
• Work in a structured urgent care model focused on acute presentations rather than booked GP consultations
Qualification
• Specialist Registration with AHPRA as a Vocationally Registered General Practitioner (VR GP)
Experience
• Experience managing acute and urgent care presentations independently
• Experience in Emergency Department or urgent care settings (beneficial)
• Ability to work in high-volume clinical environments
• Availability to commit to full-time or a minimum of 2–3 days per week
Skills
• Strong clinical decision-making in acute care settings
• Procedural skills for minor injuries and urgent presentations
• Excellent communication and patient management skills
• Ability to work efficiently under consistent patient demand
• Adaptability in fast-paced urgent care environments
