About the Role
Role & Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality virtual GP care via phone and video consultations in partnership with HealthDirect Australia.
• Provide non-urgent, episodic medical care to patients of all ages, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centred treatment.
• Conduct clinical assessments, phone triage, and provide medical advice in line with RACGP / ACRRM standards.
• Work within strong clinical governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with national healthcare and telehealth guidelines.
• Support patients in regional and rural communities by improving access to timely GP care.
• Accurately document consultations using digital health systems with minimal administrative burden.
• Collaborate with Amplar Health’s medical leadership and GP community for continuous clinical improvement.
Qualification
• Unrestricted Specialist General Practitioner registration with AHPRA.
• Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM (or equivalent).
Experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in general practice.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in Australia.
• Prior experience in telehealth or phone triage is desirable.
Skills
• Strong clinical decision-making and patient communication skills.
• Proficiency in phone and video-based consultations.
• High digital literacy with comfort using telehealth platforms and clinical databases.
• Ability to work autonomously while adhering to clinical governance frameworks.
• Reliable internet capability (minimum 50 Mbps download / 20 Mbps upload).
