About the Role

Role & Responsibilities
• Deliver primary medical care in line with professional standards and Defence policies
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Assess fitness for duty and provide pre- and post-deployment medical support
• Provide medical and technical advice to Defence leadership
• Manage outpatient and inpatient care as required
• Support Defence personnel with comprehensive, high-quality healthcare services

Qualification
• Medical degree
• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
• FRACGP, FACRRM, or Vocational Registration

Experience
• Minimum 2 years of full-time (or part-time equivalent) GP experience within the last 5 years

Skills
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
• Understanding of occupational and fitness-for-duty assessments
• Excellent communication and professional judgement
• Ability to meet Defence health and operational standards
