General Practitioner

Role & Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to a remote Australian community
• Deliver GP consultations, acute care, chronic disease management, and preventive health services
• Work independently while collaborating with on-site clinical and nursing support teams
• Participate in on-call duties and manage after-hours presentations as required
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with clinical governance standards
• Support continuity of care for the local population during the locum period

Qualification
• Vocationally Registered General Practitioner (VR GP)
• Specialist registration with AHPRA
• Fellowship of RACGP or ACRRM

Experience
• Experience working as a General Practitioner in primary care
• Prior experience in rural or remote healthcare settings preferred
• Comfortable practicing with a high level of clinical autonomy

Skills
• Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage a broad scope of general practice presentations
• Adaptability to remote healthcare environments
• Excellent communication and patient-centred care approach
• Willingness to participate in on-call and overtime duties
