About the Role
Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide on-site, relationship-based medical care to residents in Residential Aged Care Facilities across Queensland
• Deliver comprehensive primary care with a focus on continuity, clinical depth, and patient-centred outcomes
• Manage a structured caseload of approximately 25 patients per day
• Collaborate with on-site nurses, telehealth geriatricians, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams
• Conduct thorough assessments, care planning, medication reviews, and chronic disease management
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and system-based reporting
• Participate in a collaborative care model supporting vulnerable and aged populations
• Focus on clinical decision-making without administrative or logistical burden
Qualification
• General or Specialist registration with AHPRA (no conditions)
• RACGP or ACRRM Fellowship, or nearing Fellowship completion
Experience
• Experience working as a General Practitioner
• Aged care experience preferred but not mandatory
• Confidence using clinical software and digital health systems
Skills
• Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to work independently in an onsite care environment
• Familiarity with multidisciplinary and aged care models
• Comfortable with structured, continuity-based clinical practice
