About the Role
Role & Responsibilities
• Manage walk-in urgent care presentations in a dedicated urgent care clinic
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries
• Provide timely, high-quality medical care within a shift-based model
• Work closely with experienced registered nurses to manage patient flow
• Make independent clinical decisions within defined urgent care protocols
• Ensure patient safety, clinical efficiency, and high standards of care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with regulatory requirements
Qualification
• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner
Experience
• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or acute presentations preferred
• Suitable for GPs on moratorium
• Open to locum or permanent General Practitioners
Skills
• Strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills
• Confidence managing acute and time-sensitive cases
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-throughput environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Adaptability to shift-based and after-hours rosters
