Job Description
WGHG, located in Warragul, Victoria, is seeking Hospital Medical Officers for the 2027 Intake. This fixed-term, full-time role involves clinical care, professional development, and active participation in hospital programs. The position offers exposure to acute medical and surgical care, obstetrics, paediatrics, emergency services, and community health initiatives.

Responsibilities
• Assess and manage patients across hospital services
• Collaborate with Consultant Specialists and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide high-quality, patient-centred clinical care
• Participate in education, quality improvement, and continuous professional development programs
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Undertake a 4-week unpaid observership if not fully registered, including assessment programs
Required Qualification
• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Current General Registration with AHPRA, OR provisional registration eligibility (passed AMC 2 or PLAB equivalent)
Important Requirements
• Previous experience in the Australian healthcare system preferred
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication, time management, and professional skills
• Compliance with mandatory vaccinations, including Influenza unless exempt
• Current entitlement to work in Australia
• Successful completion of reference checks, National Police Record Clearance, and Employee Working with Children Check
