Full-Time Aged Care Physiotherapist
About the Role
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Provide pain management and mobility improvement therapies to aged care residents, including exercise programs, massage, heat/cold application, and radiation therapies where required.
• Deliver treatments to enhance joint mobility, improve circulation, strengthen muscles, and increase general functionality and mobility.
• Conduct thorough clinical assessments for each resident and develop individually tailored care plans.
• Execute physiotherapy treatments and interventions in line with resident needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, assessments, and follow-up processes.
• Consult and communicate effectively with staff, carers, medical practitioners, and family members to ensure resident welfare.
• Review residents regularly, at least every three months or as required by the facility.
• Educate, mentor, supervise, and train junior physiotherapy staff.
• Provide strength, prevention, and balance training programs to residents.
Qualification:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy
• Registered with AHPRA as a Physiotherapist
Experience:
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience working as a Physiotherapist
• Experience in aged care preferred but not mandatory
Skills:
• Positive, proactive, can-do attitude
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Passionate about aged care and resident wellbeing
• Basic Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
