Full-Time Aged Care Physiotherapist

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Provide pain management and mobility-focused physiotherapy services to aged care residents, including exercise programs, massage, heat/cold applications, and radiation therapies as required.
• Deliver treatments to improve joint mobility, reduce pain, enhance circulation, strengthen muscles, and support overall functionality and mobility.
• Conduct thorough clinical assessments for each resident and develop individually tailored care plans.
• Execute physiotherapy treatments and interventions aligned with resident needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, assessments, and follow-up processes.
• Consult and coordinate with staff, carers, medical practitioners, and family members to ensure the best outcomes for residents.
• Review residents regularly, at minimum intervals of three months or as required by the facility.
• Educate, mentor, supervise, and train junior physiotherapy colleagues.
• Provide strength, balance, and fall-prevention training programs for residents.

Qualification:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy
• Registered with AHPRA as a Physiotherapist

Experience:
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Physiotherapist
• Experience in aged care preferred but not mandatory

Skills:
• Positive, proactive, can-do attitude
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Passionate about aged care and resident wellbeing
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a supportive team
