Family Medicine Specialist

Role & Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centred primary healthcare services across all age groups
• Conduct patient consultations, accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care
• Manage acute and chronic medical conditions in outpatient clinical settings
• Perform preventive health assessments, screenings, immunisations, and routine health checks
• Deliver patient education, counselling, and lifestyle modification guidance
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records as per regulatory standards
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and allied healthcare professionals when required
• Adhere strictly to clinical protocols, infection control policies, and quality standards
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and medical meetings

Qualification
• MBBS degree with Specialisation in Family Medicine
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Community Medicine or General Medicine preferred
• Valid DHA / MOH / DOH licence or eligibility to obtain one

Experience
• 6–12 years of post-specialisation clinical experience
• Experience in medical centres or hospital-based outpatient settings preferred
• Proven ability to manage diverse patient populations across age groups

• Excellent communication and patient counselling abilities
• Patient-centric and empathetic approach to care
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
