About the Role

Role & Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-employment and periodic medical examinations
• Manage statutory medical check-ups for hazardous area employees
• Conduct occupational health surveys and risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with Factories Act and Gujarat Factories Rules
• Liaise with certifying surgeons and health authorities
• Develop and implement organizational medical policies
• Operate and manage Occupational Health Centre (OHC)
• Handle first-aid, emergency and accident response cases
• Maintain ambulance readiness and emergency response systems
• Manage medical stock, antidotes and emergency medicines
• Coordinate with hospitals and specialists for referrals and camps
• Conduct employee health awareness and hygiene programs
• Train first aiders and conduct refresher programs
• Manage biomedical waste disposal compliance
• Prepare statutory reports, budgets and compliance documentation
• Oversee procurement of medical and surgical supplies


Qualification

• MBBS degree from a recognized university
• AFIH (Associate Fellow of Industrial Health) – Mandatory

Experience

• 2 to 5 years of occupational/industrial health experience
• Experience in manufacturing or hazardous industry preferred

Skills

• Strong knowledge of occupational health laws and compliance
• Emergency medical and industrial risk management
• Training and employee engagement skills
• Documentation and statutory reporting expertise
• Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, PowerPoint
• Good communication in English and local languages
