Exercise Physiologist Territory Sportsmedicine

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Manage a rehabilitation caseload including musculoskeletal, sporting, and return-to-work patients.
• Deliver exercise-based rehabilitation from early-stage recovery through to performance readiness.
• Collaborate with Sports Doctors, Physicians, and Physiotherapists on shared care plans.
• Assist in injury prevention and conditioning programs.
• Lead strength, power, and endurance testing using VALD systems.
• Conduct and interpret VO₂ Max and aerobic performance testing.
• Prepare detailed reports with recommendations for clinicians, teams, and organisations.
• Contribute to the development of testing protocols and benchmarking systems within the clinic.

Qualification:
• Qualification in Exercise Physiology.
• ESSA accreditation (or eligibility).

Experience:
• Experience in musculoskeletal and sports rehabilitation.
• Experience with performance testing systems (e.g., VALD) desirable.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary sports medicine environment preferred.

Skills:
• Strong clinical reasoning and exercise prescription skills.
• Knowledge of advanced performance testing and rehabilitation protocols.
• Ability to interpret and communicate objective performance data.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.
