Exercise Physiologist

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Design, deliver and evaluate safe, evidence-based exercise interventions for clients with acute, sub-acute and chronic conditions
• Provide 1:1 and group exercise physiology sessions in gym and pool settings
• Deliver water-based exercise programs
• Provide services in-clinic and through mobile community visits
• Support clients funded through Medicare, Private Health, Aged Care Packages, NDIS, DVA and WorkCover
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation including reports and case notes
• Collaborate with allied health and medical professionals to optimise client outcomes
• Promote health improvement and functional independence within the community

Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology
• Accreditation with ESSA as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP)
• Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Valid Australian driver’s licence
• Right to work in Australia

Experience:
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
• Experience managing clients with chronic disease, injury and disability
• Experience delivering water-based exercise programs (desirable)
• Experience working with Medicare, NDIS, DVA, Aged Care or WorkCover clients (preferred)
