Job Description
• Position: 2026 Emergency Medicine Registrar
• Location: Box Hill, Melbourne VIC
• Employment Type: Limited Term Full Time
• Organisation: Eastern Health
• Training Sites: Box Hill Hospital, Maroondah Hospital, Angliss Hospital
• Departments: Mixed adult and paediatric Emergency Departments

Key Features of the Role:
• 150,000+ ED attendances per year
• Rotations in critical care, anaesthetics, Emergency ultrasound special skills, Hospital in the Home, Royal Victorian Eye and Ear, and other tertiary sites
• Dedicated CME time and structured Fellowship teaching
• >50 FACEMs across network with dedicated teaching teams
• ACEM examiners at all sites
• Paediatric logbook accreditation
• Support for ACEM 4.10 research
• Quality improvement and leadership training aligned with ACEM
• Active simulation and Emergency Ultrasound programs

Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive emergency medical assessment and management
• Participate in rostered clinical duties across network sites
• Engage in ACEM-aligned training and research activities
• Contribute to mortality and morbidity meetings
• Participate in quality improvement and leadership initiatives
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary emergency teams
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and clinical documentation

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements:
• Medical Degree
• Current AHPRA registration or eligibility for Provisional Registration

Experience and Skills:
• Recent Emergency Medicine experience
• Junior Registrars (HMO3+) considered
• ACEM Trainee desirable
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to work effectively within diverse teams
• Commitment to high-quality patient care
