About the Role

Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide and support the effective and efficient delivery of emergency medical services within the Emergency Department
• Act as a clinical leader and teacher consistent with approved scope of practice and ED capability
• Prioritise patient care needs and ensure safe, efficient service delivery
• Supervise, mentor, and support Junior Medical Officers and students across disciplines
• Escalate operational issues impacting patient care to the Hospital Coordinator or Executive team
• Undertake credentialing for invasive and non-invasive procedures
• Participate in performance appraisals and departmental quality improvement activities
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, allied health, and senior clinicians

Qualification
• MBBS or equivalent medical degree eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
• General Registration with AHPRA or eligibility for provisional or limited registration

Experience
• Minimum 5 years postgraduate clinical experience (desirable)
• Significant experience in Emergency Medicine
• Experience supporting, supervising, and training junior medical staff and students
• Experience in acute care and hospital emergency settings
• ACEM Non-Accredited Trainee background (desirable)
