Emergence medicine specialist

Role & Responsibilities
• Rapidly assess, stabilise, and manage critically ill or injured patients in the emergency department.
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests including imaging and laboratory investigations.
• Perform emergency procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, and fracture reduction.
• Manage acute medical emergencies including cardiac arrest, stroke, trauma, and sepsis using evidence-based protocols.

Qualifications
• MD (or equivalent) in General Medicine.
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
• Valid ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications.

Experience
• 3–8 years of experience in emergency medicine.
• Experience working in a high-volume emergency or trauma setting preferred.

Skills
• Strong clinical decision-making under pressure.
• Expertise in emergency procedures and acute care management.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills in critical care environments.
