Role & Responsibilities
• Provide expert clinical treatment in primary healthcare settings including clinics and health centres
• Deliver medical care in deployable health units across domestic and overseas locations
• Support training exercises, international engagement activities, and operational deployments
• Assist in planning and deployment of healthcare teams during operations
• Develop and implement health support plans for deployed forces
• Treat combat casualties and provide humanitarian health support
• Support multinational and peacekeeping health facilities
• Provide technical medical advice during health support planning and operations
• Operate and maintain medical resources in accordance with military protocols

Qualification
• Degree in Medicine
• Completion of hospital internship
• Registered medical practitioner in Australia

Experience
• Experience in primary healthcare or hospital-based medical practice preferred
• Willingness to work in field, operational, and deployable environments

Skills
• Strong clinical and emergency medical skills
• Ability to work in diverse and high-pressure environments
• Team leadership and operational planning skills
• Physical fitness and adaptability
• Strong communication and decision-making skills

Eligibility
• Minimum age: 17 years at time of entry
• Australian citizenship required (non-citizens may be eligible under specific criteria)
• Must meet physical fitness and health standards
• Ability to obtain security clearance

Salary
• $130,000 – $140,000 per year
• Up to $138,979 per annum after completion of initial military and employment training
• Generous superannuation benefits
