Job Description
A recently refurbished, high-performing community pharmacy in the Maclean district is seeking a Pharmacist, Pharmacist in Charge, or Pharmacist Manager to join the team full-time. The role focuses on dispensing, checking, vaccinating, counselling, and leading daily operations. For the right candidate, there is a genuine opportunity to progress into future partnership.
Key Features of the Role
• Position: Pharmacist / Pharmacist in Charge / Pharmacist Manager
• Location: Maclean (19 minutes from Yamba)
• Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours Mon–Fri + alternate Saturday mornings, day off in lieu)
• Salary Range: $55–$70 per hour + Superannuation

Responsibilities
• Dispense and accurately check prescriptions
• Provide vaccinations and patient counselling
• Lead daily pharmacy operations and workflow
• Support and mentor pharmacy team members

• Oversee DAA services for community and nursing homes
• Maintain quality, safety, and operational efficiency

The Pharmacy Setup
• Dispense System: Z Robot
• DAA Services: Community and nursing homes (packed by technicians)
• Team Structure: 1–2 Pharmacists, 2 Dispense Technicians, 5–6 Front-of-Shop Staff

Required Qualifications
• Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist
• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or equivalent
• Managerial experience (3+ years required for Manager salary bracket)
Experience and Skills
• Strong dispensing accuracy and clinical knowledge
• Vaccination accreditation and counselling expertise
• Leadership and team management capability
• Experience managing pharmacy operations and workflow
• Interest in long-term partnership or ownership

Salary Insights
• $55–$65 per hour + super (depending on experience and accreditations)
• $60–$70 per hour + super for Managers with 3+ years in a similar role
