Dental Assistant - Locum

Roles & Responsibilities
• Assist dentists during dental procedures to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials following infection-control and sterilization standards.
• Welcome patients, prepare them for treatment, and provide support throughout their visit.
• Accurately capture and record patient medical histories, treatment details, and other required documentation.
• Handle dental instruments and materials such as impression materials, cements, and restorative equipment.
• Take and process dental radiographs (if licensed), ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Ensure proper sterilization, disinfection, and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment.
• Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure treatment rooms are adequately stocked.
• Adhere to patient safety standards and clinical guidelines at all times.
• Provide pre- and post-treatment instructions to patients under the supervision of the dentist.
• Support administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, patient flow management, and filing when needed.

Qualification
• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), or
• Diploma in Dental Assisting or Dental Nursing, or
• Registered Nurse/Assistant Nurse meeting dental licensure criteria.

Experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a qualified Dental Assistant.
• Previous experience in the UAE in a dental assistant role is desirable.
