Dental Assistant
About the Role
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments, suctioning, mixing materials, and maintaining a sterile workspace
• Support both dental assisting and reception duties within the practice
• Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience
• Sterilise and maintain dental equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
• Handle patient enquiries, manage phone calls, and schedule appointments
• Deliver exceptional customer service while addressing patient concerns
• Maintain an organised clinical and reception environment
QUALIFICATION:
• Certificate in Dental Assisting or relevant qualification preferred
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 3+ years of dental assisting experience required
• Proven experience in reception and patient coordination is advantageous
SKILLS:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Friendly, empathetic, and patient-focused approach
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently
• Knowledge of infection control practices
• Customer service and reception skills
• Passion for the dental field and commitment to high-quality care
WORK SCHEDULE:
• 4 days per week with extended hours (potential to move to 5 days)
• No weekend work
