Dental Assistant / Dental Receptionist
About the Role
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide exceptional patient care while ensuring safety and confidentiality of all practice information
• Assist with dental procedures, lab work, and aftercare using state-of-the-art equipment
• Maintain and sterilise dental instruments and equipment
• Use dental software to manage patient records and workflow
• Support administrative staff in managing patient flow and handling calls, emails, mail, and faxes efficiently
• Monitor and order dental consumables and stock as required
• Open and close the practice when needed and support flexible staffing arrangements
• Work collaboratively with the team to provide a positive patient experience and professional environment
• Demonstrate strong communication with patients and team members in a respectful, professional manner
QUALIFICATION:
• No formal dental assisting experience required; on-the-job training provided
• Professional, reliable, and motivated to learn
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in a dental or healthcare setting is advantageous but not required
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
SKILLS:
• Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and work independently or collaboratively
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn new dental techniques and procedures
