Consultant Pulmonology

Role & Responsibilities
• Deliver expert pulmonology care within defined clinical scope and standards
• Continuously build, apply, and share specialist knowledge to enhance patient outcomes
• Identify patient needs and expectations and communicate effectively with care teams
• Manage patient complaints professionally and provide timely resolution and feedback
• Keep patients informed and involved in clinical decision-making
• Ensure consistently positive patient and family experience
• Perform all clinical and administrative tasks in line with established procedures and guidelines
• Maintain accuracy and precision in all clinical activities to minimize errors
• Identify and report non-compliance issues constructively to relevant stakeholders
• Continuously evaluate quality of own work and implement improvements
• Maintain professionalism, focus, and performance despite operational challenges
• Build strong working relationships with colleagues and multidisciplinary teams
• Handle conflicts calmly and contribute to collaborative resolutions
• Demonstrate empathy, respect, and openness to diverse perspectives
• Actively participate in team activities and foster a positive team culture

Qualification
• MBBS with specialization in Pulmonology
• Completion of higher education programme such as fellowship or diploma
• Certification and registration in pulmonology recognised by UAE healthcare authorities

Experience
• 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience at Consultant level
• Minimum 1 year Consultant-level experience in a Tier 1 country as per UAE regulations

Skills
• Strong clinical expertise in respiratory and pulmonary medicine
• Excellent patient communication and counselling skills
• Ability to work independently at consultant level
• Team collaboration and leadership skills
• Commitment to clinical quality, safety, and patient-centred care
