Consultant Pediatric Cardiac Surgery

Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality patient care across all aspects of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery in line with approved clinical privileges
• Deliver inpatient and emergency consultations upon request within hospital-defined response timelines
• Ensure timely, accurate, complete, and legible medical records and clinical documentation
• Participate in on-call services and maintain availability as per hospital policy
• Conduct daily morning rounds to assess patient readiness for transfer or discharge
• Ensure transfer and discharge orders are completed at least 24 hours prior to planned discharge/transfer
• Perform additional clinical responsibilities related to the specialty as assigned
• Provide orientation, bedside teaching, supervision, and mentorship to interns, residents, and fellows
• Participate in departmental educational activities and training programs
• Attend and contribute to national and international medical conferences
• Maintain continuing professional development and ongoing medical education requirements

Qualification
• MBBS / MD
• Completion of required specialty and/or subspecialty training in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery

Experience
• 7–9 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery

• Strong clinical expertise in pediatric cardiac surgical care
• Excellent decision-making and patient management skills

• Commitment to medical education, training, and research
