Consultant Orthopedic

Role & Responsibilities
• Conduct OPD consultations, diagnose orthopedic conditions, and recommend appropriate treatment plans
• Manage IPD patients including pre-operative and post-operative care
• Perform orthopedic surgeries such as fracture fixation, joint replacement, arthroscopy, and trauma surgeries
• Evaluate diagnostic tests including X-rays, MRI, CT scans, and laboratory reports
• Attend and manage orthopedic emergencies including trauma cases
• Ensure proper documentation including treatment notes, consent forms, operative records, and discharge summaries
• Provide patient counseling regarding condition, procedures, rehabilitation, and follow-up care
• Ensure adherence to clinical safety, infection control, and patient care protocols
• Coordinate with physiotherapy team for rehabilitation and recovery plans
• Work in coordination with anesthesiologists, radiologists, physiotherapists, nurses, and emergency teams
• Guide and supervise junior doctors, residents, and interns
• Participate in clinical audits, MLC documentation (if applicable), and quality improvement programs
• Contribute to departmental SOPs and support NABH documentation and compliance
• Participate in departmental meetings, CME sessions, and academic discussions

Qualification
• MBBS with MS / DNB – Orthopedics
• Valid Medical Council registration

Experience
• 4–15 years of relevant orthopedic experience required
