Consultant Interventional Cardiologist

Role & Responsibilities
• Diagnose and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular diseases
• Evaluate patients with chest pain, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and valvular heart diseases
• Conduct OPD consultations and daily inpatient ward rounds
• Interpret ECG, ECHO, TMT, Holter, CT angiography, and other cardiac investigations
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including coronary angiography
• Perform PTCA / PCI (angioplasty and stenting)
• Conduct primary angioplasty for acute myocardial infarction
• Perform temporary and permanent pacemaker implantation
• Manage post-procedure care and monitor patient recovery
• Handle cardiac emergencies including acute coronary syndromes and cardiogenic shock
• Provide cardiac care support in ICU and emergency settings
• Coordinate with intensivists, emergency physicians, and nursing staff for critical patients
• Participate in code blue and emergency cardiac interventions
• Maintain accurate medical records and procedure documentation
• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, ethical standards, and patient safety guidelines
• Guide and mentor junior doctors and clinical staff when required
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and CME activities

Qualification
• DM / DNB – Interventional Cardiology (mandatory)
• Registration with State Medical Council / NMC

Experience
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in interventional cardiology required
• Proven hands-on experience in interventional cardiology procedures

Skills
• Expertise in invasive and non-invasive cardiology
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage high-pressure cardiac emergencies
• Patient-focused and ethical approach to care
• Strong teamwork and leadership abilities
