Consultant General Surgeon

Roles & Responsibilities
• Perform complex general surgical procedures with a focus on minimally invasive techniques
• Lead multidisciplinary teams for preoperative assessment, surgical planning, and postoperative care
• Conduct comprehensive preoperative evaluations including diagnostics and patient history review
• Manage postoperative care and monitor patient recovery, addressing complications when required
• Supervise and manage surgical wards ensuring high standards of clinical care
• Stay updated with advancements in surgical technologies and implement best practices
• Mentor and train junior surgeons and medical staff
• Participate in clinical research and contribute to academic publications
• Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding procedures, risks, and outcomes

Qualification
• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• MS (General Surgery) or equivalent specialization
• Board certification in General Surgery required

Experience
• 3 to 8 years of experience as a General Surgeon
• Experience in tertiary care hospital settings preferred
