Consultant Anesthesiologist

Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive peri-operative anesthetic care for elective and emergency surgical procedures
• Administer general, regional, and neuraxial anesthesia including spinal and epidural techniques
• Perform ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia blocks for peri-operative and post-operative pain management
• Conduct detailed pre-operative assessments and formulate appropriate anesthetic plans
• Deliver continuous intra-operative monitoring and post-anesthesia care
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in on-call and after-hours duties as per departmental rota
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
• Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives
• Support teaching, mentoring, and continuing medical education activities when required

Qualification
• Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution
• Completed specialist training in Anesthesiology from an accredited program
• Recognized Consultant-level certification (Arab Board, European Board, UK CCT, US Board, or equivalent)

Experience
• 2–7 years of post-certification experience as a Consultant Anesthesiologist
• Demonstrated expertise in regional anesthesia and ultrasound-guided techniques
