Compounding Pharmacist
About the Role
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Dispense and formulate compounded medicines, including medicinal cannabis
• Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence
• Answer phone queries related to pharmacy services
• Oversee laboratory and dispensary technicians
• Dispense PBS scripts and medicinal cannabis prescriptions
• Support day-to-day operations of dispensary and lab activities
• Perform some managerial and administrative tasks as required
• Participate in training and professional development programs
Qualification:
• Registered Pharmacist with AHPRA (mandatory)
Experience:
• Previous work experience in an Australian-based pharmacy preferred
• Prior compounding experience is desirable but training will be provided
Skills:
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with healthcare professionals and patients
• Team player with collaborative and problem-solving abilities
• Diligent work ethic, detail-oriented, and professional
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks
