Job Description
The Community Pharmacist will be responsible for providing professional pharmacy services, including dispensing medications, patient counselling, and supporting medication management in accordance with regulatory standards. The pharmacist will primarily work in the Goulburn location while occasionally supporting other nearby stores as required. This multi-store position offers variety in daily work environments while ensuring consistent patient care across all pharmacy locations.

Responsibilities
• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with legal and professional standards
• Provide medication counselling to patients, including guidance on dosage, side effects, and drug interactions
• Offer advice on over-the-counter medicines, supplements, and general healthcare products
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Manage pharmacy inventory levels, place medication orders, and ensure stock availability
• Supervise pharmacy assistants and technicians while supporting staff training and development
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, professional guidelines, and company policies
• Stay updated on new medications, treatment guidelines, and developments within the pharmaceutical industry
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent qualification from a recognized Australian institution
• Current registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification
• Professional registration as a pharmacist in Australia
Experience and Skills:
• Ability to work independently, including solo pharmacy shifts
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and healthcare professionals
• Experience with pharmacy management systems such as FRED
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities in patient care scenarios
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
• Experience in medication compounding and sterile preparation is desirable
• Rural pharmacy experience and vaccinator training are considered advantageous
