About the Role
Roles & Responsibilities
• Plan, implement, and evaluate specialist research care for patients in clinical trial programs
• Ensure that all research activity adheres to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and safeguards patient well-being
• Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to maintain safety and quality standards
• Support patient recruitment and the smooth delivery of early-phase clinical studies
• Act as a key point of contact for patients, providing guidance and support throughout their research journey
• Supervise and monitor expected and unexpected side effects of investigational drugs and other treatment modalities
• Ensure patient safety by supervising and monitoring clinical trial progress
Qualification
• Current NMC Registration
• A Registered Nurse with at least 3 years of experience in research and trials coordination, including early-phase trials
• Oncology Trials experience is essential
• Chemotherapy Competent (SACT Passport)
Experience
• At least 3 years of experience in clinical research and trials coordination
• Experience in oncology trials is essential
Skills
• Strong clinical insight and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to ensure patient safety in clinical research environments
