Job Description
Alice Springs Hospital is seeking Clinical Pharmacists to join the Pharmacy Department on fixed-term contracts ranging from 6 months to 2 years.
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services within a hospital setting, supporting inpatient medication management, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Pharmacists will work within a structured and supportive hospital pharmacy team while developing strong clinical capabilities in managing complex patient cases.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical pharmacy services to inpatient and outpatient departments.
• Review patient medications and ensure safe and effective drug therapy.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and healthcare teams to support clinical decision-making.
• Monitor medication safety, adverse drug reactions, and therapeutic outcomes.
• Participate in hospital medication management programs and clinical rounds.
• Support pharmacy services for remote clinics and regional healthcare facilities.
• Contribute to clinical education, mentoring, and professional development activities.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and medication safety standards.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent pharmacy qualification.
• Completion of a hospital pharmacy internship or equivalent clinical training.
• Eligibility for pharmacist registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Salary & Benefits
• Remuneration Package: $109,860 – $130,643 per year.
• Base Salary: $92,910 – $110,781 plus 15% market allowance.
• Annual Retention Bonus: $10,000 after every 12 months of service.
• Professional Development Allowance:
• $1,000 (1–3 years of service)
• $2,000 (3+ years of service)
• 12% Superannuation.
• Salary sacrifice options including $9,005 general packaging.
• Travel and accommodation support where applicable.
• Additional penalty payments for overtime, on-call, and weekend shifts.
