Job Description
The Community and Clinical Pharmacist will work as a core member of the pharmacy team, delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services to patients in Margaret River and surrounding areas. The role combines dispensing and counselling responsibilities with opportunities to develop pharmacist-led clinical services and participate in dermatology and wound care research initiatives. Responsibilities
• Dispense prescriptions accurately and safely in accordance with the Pharmacy Act and PBS requirements
• Provide professional counselling on prescription and non-prescription medications
• Assist patients with minor ailments and medication management advice
• Provide guidance on wound care, dermatology treatments, and minor injuries
• Maintain accurate dispensing records and document clinical interventions where required
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy procedures, QCPP standards, and professional guidelines
• Assist with dose administration aid (DAA) checking and compounding services when needed
• Monitor dispensary workflow and ensure safe pharmacy operations
• Promote and deliver pharmacy professional services including medication reviews and preventative healthcare consultations

Professional Services & Patient Care
• Provide consultations for minor ailments and preventative healthcare
• Deliver pharmacy services such as weight management consultations, smoking cessation support, and women’s health services
• Support medication management services including MedsChecks
• Participate in vaccination programs and health promotion initiatives
• Assist customers in selecting appropriate over-the-counter healthcare products

Team Leadership & Staff Support
• Supervise pharmacy assistants and dispensary technicians
• Assist with staff training on pharmacy procedures and OTC counselling
• Support a positive team environment and contribute to pharmacy goals
• Assist in implementing pharmacy processes in line with QCPP and industry standards

Clinical Services Development
The role provides opportunities to participate in the development of pharmacist-led healthcare services including:
• Hypertension management clinics
• Asthma and COPD reviews
• Diabetes medication optimisation programs
• Dermatology and wound care consultations
• Minor infection management services

Research & Development Activities
• Support clinical evaluation of dermatological and wound care treatments

Required Qualifications
• Registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia through AHPRA

Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification
• Eligibility for pharmacist registration in Australia

Experience and Skills:
